has published one collection of short stories called “Singing earth” and three volumes of poems in English. She has published a number of short stories in English in leading English magazine like “India Literature” of Sahitya Academy, Kavya Bharti, Asian Age, The Telegraph, PEN, the Little Magazine, Femina, Eve’s montly. The Heritage Magazine, Cha an Asian Journal from Hong Kong, Message in a poetry magazine U.K. etc. She received the first prize in the short story competition conducted by Femina. Another story in 2005 was short listed for the South Asian Award by the Little magazine and published in the anthology. “Expressions”. Another poem was also shortlisted in 2006 in the poetry competition conducted by British Council – Unisun Publication. In Bare root review (spring issue 2009) published her poem from Minnesota University, Department of Creative Writing, etc. Her first collection of short stories, titled “The Singing Earth,” has been published by publisher Li Fi Publications New Delhi. Her first novel, “Secrets of Mango Rain,” was released in December 2023 by Alcove Publishers.

An ex civil service officer she is a writer and author of three book of poems and one collection of short stories. One poetry book has been translated into Malayalam. The novel “Secrets of mango rain” was released in December 2023. A self-taught artist she is comfortable with acrylics and also uses mixed media. The concept behind her paintings is the response of individual to sensory perception of nature. Faces of women are also captured in myriad fleeting expressions in colour. Colour becomes an alphabet to express the world around her.
